I've been trying to connect my 2755 hp deskjet to my wifi, for my apartments wifi I have to register the Mac address of each device I add, I added my printers mac address, but when I enter the password my printer won't connect to the wifi, my phone is connected to the same wifi. I've tried reseting the computer multiple times and it still won't connect.

Apartments that record MAC addresses usually limit the number of devices.  You would have to check with the manager to see if that is the problem.  Note that smartphones count as MAC and any guest connecting to the flat's Wi-Fi is also counted.

There are other possibilities.  The printer can be setup for "Direct print" where it is not on the router.

The 2755e supports 2.4 and 5ghz band supposidly.  I  not know about the 2755.  My Iphone 12 (also the 10) cannot be set to use 2.4 when 5ghz is avaialble so I would not be able to print directly to my LasjerJet as it supports only 2.4.

With your smartphone or laptop and the above video as a guide, look for the printer's Wi-Fi direct name. If it shows up on your laptop but not on the smartphone it is probably onl y 2.4ghz band.

There is another option if it is in your budget.  Get a Wi-Fi router like the Netgear travel router.

You connect it to the flat's Wi-Fi and all your devices connect to the travel router.  The MAC addresses do not get forwarded and there is no way for the flat's manager to find out what all you got connected.  Any guest can connect for Wi-Fi for assisted calling for just to get on the internet.
