Hi @MurLin72
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
If you're having trouble connecting your HP ENVY Photo 7855 to Wi-Fi, here are several steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Wi-Fi Network:
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly. You can check this by connecting another device to the network.
Reboot Devices:
- Restart your printer and your router. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.
Use the Printer Control Panel:
- On the printer, go to Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard. This will help you find and connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Follow the prompts to select your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Check for Network Compatibility:
- Ensure your printer is compatible with your Wi-Fi network. The printer only supports 2.4 GHz networks, so if you’re using a dual-band router, make sure you connect to the 2.4 GHz band.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app on your Windows computer. Use it to set up the printer and connect it to Wi-Fi.
Disable Firewall/Security Software:
- Sometimes firewall or security software can interfere with the printer’s ability to connect to Wi-Fi. Temporarily disable these and see if the printer can connect.
Network Configuration Reset:
- Reset the network settings on your printer. You can usually do this through the printer’s control panel by navigating to Setup > Network > Restore Network Defaults. After resetting, try reconnecting to the Wi-Fi
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
