HP Officejet 4620 e-All-in-One Printer

I currently have an HP Office jet 4620 wireless printer. However, it connects to my Xfinity modem/router and uses two ports, one for the answering machine and one for the home phone. My trouble is this: Any new all in one printer, does not seem to have ports so you may connect to a landline and they either have remote printing/fax which is really stupid if you are using it for home office use. Since I have a brand-new Xfinity modem, I'm assuming that most people connect via a landline otherwise why would it have that port? What all-in-one printer with built in fax, copy, scan would be an option for me?  I've googled until my fingers fell off and still haven't found any reliable answers.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

From what I read, more and more people are opting to drop their land line.

What?

While many phone companies will work 24/7 to keep the physical phone lines working -- and you don't need power to use a wired phone -- the trend is to move to cellular options.  Perhaps you get downed service restored as quickly and there are no physical phone lines to maintain at your house.

True -- printers that include a built-in fax hardware component generally still require the wired phone line connection.

True -- some home printers now forego the fax hardware and (only) support a Mobile Fax option.

To find what you week, you need to know what you need.

Example >>

Connectivity, standard

1 USB 2.0; 1 Host USB; 1 Ethernet; 1 Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n; 2 RJ-11 modem ports

The 9015e is a nice printer; the model is well suited to a home office environment.

At this writing, this model is just a step from the current top-of-line HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer

Reminder:

OfficeJet Pro 9000 series printers include features lacking in the OfficeJet Pro 8000 series.

Read everything carefully.
