Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

My HP Envy Inspire prints blank pages when printing remotely. (For example, if I want to print a document at work and I send it to my printer at home).

Another problem: when I print an image, I click "Fit to page." Then I get an error message on the printer's display that the paper size doesn't match the image dimensions. I have to cancel the print, after which a blank page appears. If I then print the image again, it prints a normal page with the image. Why didn't it the first time?

Welcome to the HP Community --

There is some necessary guess work included in the following -- there are several models in the Inspire printer series and more than one way to print remotely.

Depending on the application you are using, there might a setting missing or incorrectly set in Print Options (slide up bar where current job options are viewed / adjusted.

Unfortunately, for at least the more likely solution, you will have to have network access to the printer.  That means that the printer and you (your device) must be connected on the same network.

Paper Size / Type mis-match when configuring the job might be due to the printer not agreeing with your job settings.

When you (your device) and the printer are on the same network,

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / adjust the Paper Size and Type settings -- Tray and Paper

EWS > HP Document / How-to (InkJet Printers – Original Format)

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Reminder:  If asked enter the printer’s PIN number – the default number is generally located on the back or inside the printer.

EWS – Tray and Paper Management

Original EWS

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model and EWS version Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

Example - EWS - Tray and Paper - Standard Intake tray and Photo Tray

EWS_7855_Preferences_Tray_and_Paper_Management_All_6EWS_7855_Preferences_Tray_and_Paper_Management_All_6

OR

Example - (Alternate EWS format - select new InkJet printers and at least a few LaserJet printers)

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure

Next (as available)

Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default options / tray

Example - Alternate format EWS - Tray and Paper - One or more trays

EWS_9135_Tray_and_Paper_8EWS_9135_Tray_and_Paper_8

EWS_9135_Print_Default_Print_Options_8EWS_9135_Print_Default_Print_Options_8
