I seem to be having the same issue with a couple of different model printers. It seems printer models M479fdw and M404dn are the most problematic. When they are connected via the network (wired) after about 5 minutes or so they produce an error on the LCD of 0XD81B089C or just D81B089C on the M479 series. When I unplug from the network the error doesn't happen. When I run USB it seems to work. So it seems to be narrowed down to an issue with the networking side. We have multiple different models of HP printers that are still working fine. I have turned off IPV6, tried different drivers, updated or verified the printer has the latest firmware as well. Problem still persists after all of that. Due to the current setup at our location USB printing is not going to be an option and they have to be networked. I have only tested with USB briefly but again they have to be networked for a few different reasons. Has anyone had any luck fixing these errors? HP is going to send out a tech on the newest printer since it is still under warranty but all the other printers are no longer covered under the warranty. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have the exact same problem, HP determined that the Formatter card needed to be replaced, but that didn't fix the problem. I have tried everything, as you mention and nothing has worked, it does not matter if it is via ethernet or wireless, the same error occurs, and HP only indicates that you use the USB cable or that it is a network error, but when I read you , I understand that it is not my network.
