I'm readly to throw myself, nevermind the printer out of the window. What am I doing wrong. Every time I want to print I end up having a nervous breakdown 'cos it won't print!

Hi @GrannyAuds,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with printer issues can indeed be frustrating, but let's try to troubleshoot the problem step by step for your HP OfficeJet 8013 All-In-One Printer.
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, verify that it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the signal is strong enough.
Printer Status:
- Check the printer's display panel (if it has one) for any error messages or indicators. This can give clues about what might be wrong.
Printer Settings:
- Open the printer settings on your computer and check if the printer is set as the default printer. Sometimes, another printer might be selected accidentally.
Printer Queue:
- Clear out any pending print jobs in the print queue. Sometimes, a stuck print job can prevent new ones from printing.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both your computer and the printer. This can resolve temporary communication issues.
Driver and Software Updates:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
Paper and Ink/Toner:
- Check if there's enough paper in the printer and sufficient ink or toner. Low supplies can sometimes prevent printing.
Network Issues (if applicable):
- If the printer is connected over a network, ensure that there are no network issues such as IP conflicts or connectivity problems.
Firewall and Security Software:
- Occasionally, security software or firewall settings can interfere with printing. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.
Reset Printer (if necessary):
- As a last resort, you can reset the printer to its factory settings. This usually involves pressing a combination of buttons on the printer. Refer to the printer's manual for instructions specific to your model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
