Hi  @fairabella,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I hear your concern about the the trouble accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS) on your printer and that you've forgotten the EWS password, don’t worry let me try helping  you with this.

Could you kindly confirm the below details :

  1. Are you unable to access the EWS because:
You forgot the administrator password for the EWS? Or are you have a specific error message when trying to log in?
  2. Has the printer ever been connected to HP App ,or managed in an office/network environment?
  3. Are you able to access the printer's control panel and print reports from the printer?

Kindly try the below steps and confirm :

1. Verify the Current Printer IP Address

Print a Network Configuration Page and ensure you're accessing the correct IP address.

  • From the printer control panel:
    Tap Wireless -Settings -Print Reports
    Print the Network Configuration Report

Then enter the printer's IP address into a web browser.

2. Restore Network Settings

If the password issue is related to a previous network configuration, restoring the network settings may help.
(Link for steps on how to perform the restore of the network settings - Click here )

3. You can also find the  steps here in this link - Click here  about on how to reset password for OfficeJet Prnter

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
