I had to return my ALL Fi hub as my neighborhood had only 1 bar of cellular service. It needs to have 3 or more bars to work properly. if you do return it, be sure to save the UPS receipt. I received an email from ATT weeks later with a warning and reminding me to return it.
It is possible the problem is the signal to the laptop. The signal is optionally 2.4 and 5ghz.
2.4ghz can reach through walls that the 5ghz has problems with. Program the ALl Fi so each band has a different name. that way you can decided which band to use.
You can also add booster and repeaters if necessary.
Let me know if the ALL Fi seems to be putting out a good signal or not.
