Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Hi @GreenTurtle!

I finally got back to the printer again. Unfortunately, the Print Anywhere option is not there. This is very disappointing.

I have captured another screen with the Printer Information such as the Firmware Version. Not sure if it helps to narrow down the issue. Maybe I should make a visit to the service centre.

Despite what the screenshot says, I am in Singapore (not Australia).

Perhaps the issue is not one of the feature missing -- instead, it might be the printer model / series is not the one you indicated at first post.

Yes, I realize I brought this up earlier and that I might be pounding on a dead idea...

Will you tell us your exact printer model?

Hi @Dragon-Fur,

The model is HP DeskJet 2723e.

FPU Number: 3XV17-64006

FWIW, this is on the box.

Did I get a 2723 printer in a 2723e box?

@greenturtle

OK -- I still do not know what is going on.

the FPU number - minus the extra bits on the end of the number and adding an "a" comes back as HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer

HP DeskJet 2723e comes back as product  2A9Q5A

Hi @Dragon-Fur

Thanks, we'll try to troubleshoot further.

Hi @StevieGorilla

Couple of questions.

1. This printer was  purchased in Singapore and you're the first owner to set it up?

2. Did you sign up for the free 3 months  Instant Ink Program?

3. During the setup, did you select "Australia" instead of SIngapore?

4. Is the printer connected wirelessly or through USB?

If connected wirelessly, can try to Reset to factory defaults following this resource (Example)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHpmnBHEpvA&t=99s

After a reset to factory defaults, setup the printer again using HP Smart app, create and use a NEW HP account (new email) and ensure "Singapore" is selected.

Hope that helps!

Hi @Greenturtle.

Answers inline.

1. This printer was  purchased in Singapore and you're the first owner to set it up? Yes. Correct.

2. Did you sign up for the free 3 months  Instant Ink Program? Yes.

3. During the setup, did you select "Australia" instead of SIngapore? I didn't select any region, I guess the location was auto-detected (and I later realised I had Private Relay turn on on my iPhone, which I think might have messed with the location) Is there a reason to believe that a wrong location would have caused an issue with Print Anywhere being completely missing?

4. Is the printer connected wirelessly or through USB? Wireless.

Thanks @StevieGorilla .

Yes,  Wrong location may mess up feature offerings as the printer needs to be "Entitled" to the owner. These models are specific for Singapore and Hong Kong only.

Any chance that you can try to change the location to Singapore?  Have you received the Instant Ink Welcome kit yet?

Since it's already subscribed, would suggest not to sign in using any other email!

Thanks

Hi @StevieGorilla

Thanks for the reply.  Please ensure that the HP account used to log in is the same as the one used during setup.

That is another possible reason for "Print Anywhere" not showing up.

If that still doesn't work, can try a Reset of wireless and try setting up and connecting the printer to the network again?

HI @Greenturtle,

Can you explain (maybe with screenshots?) which are the "log in" and "setup" processes?

As far as I remember, I've only used one account (email address) to perform all actions on this printer.
