HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hi all, I recently lost Wi-Fi connection on my HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 Printer. I went to Settings to try to troubleshoot but in order to reset the network connectivity I must enter the Control Panel’s username and password. I must have set this up a long time ago, but I irresponsibly can’t seem find this info jotted down in my records…  I have checked HP support and community help sites regarding how to reset the username/password however I didn’t have any luck finding a solution…I only see other people asking similar questions. Unfortunately my service warranty has expired, so if anyone has any info/suggestions they can offer me on what my options are at this point, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi @LGG84 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the username and password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 printer's Control Panel, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer to restore it to its default settings. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings and configurations on the printer. Here's on how to perform a factory reset:

Power On the Printer: Make sure the printer is powered on.

Access the Control Panel: Use the touchscreen or physical buttons on the printer's control panel to navigate to the "Setup" or "Settings" menu.

Factory Reset: Look for an option like "Restore Defaults," "Reset All," or "Factory Reset" in the settings menu. The exact wording may vary.

Confirmation: Confirm that you want to perform the factory reset. This may involve pressing the OK or Yes button.

Wait for Reset: The printer will go through the reset process, and it may take a few minutes.

Reconfigure Network Settings: After the factory reset, you'll need to set up the printer's network connection again. Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network.

After completing these steps, your printer should be back to its factory default settings, and you should be able to use the default username and password to access the Control Panel. The default username and password are often provided in the printer's user manual or documentation. If you don't have access to the manual, you might find this information on the HP website

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
