I am trying to connect my printer to my current wifi network. The printer itself has been previously set up. Therefore it already has its own wireless network when connecting to wifi. I do not remember this password, and I would like to either retrieve it or change it so that I know the password in order to complete wireless setup of my printer. In other words connecting the printer to my current wifi network. All I need to do is change/figure out this password. After searching and searching I have found no solution to my problem and I want calling customer support to be my last option. Please help. None of this makes any sense.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want to connect the printer to a new WiFi network, I am glad to assist you.

Restore network settings to default settings

  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for three seconds.

NOTE: The printer only supports connections using 2.4GHz, check if you have set the router bandwidth to 2.4GHz.

Connect the printer to the network using the HP Smart app

Here are the steps:- click here
