This morning I posted a question concerning my printer and turning on "Web Services". I got an imminent reply for a Tom, failed to get his last name. He gave me a [personal info removed] number to call for what I assume was tech. support. This turned out not to be so. After some quick diagnostics after taking control of my PC (first mistake), she showed me where my drivers were all corrupt and told me I have a virus (using Norton 360) even though I have an anti-virus program. I was told it would cost $149 for a 5 yr plan to fix my problem and after asking me if I used Amazon, she went to the website and commence to purchase a gift card for me to buy. That was when I knew this was a SCAM and cut her off. So beware on this forum, there are trolls out there waiting to assist you in relieving you of your money. Better to go straight to HP support and get your problems resolved and stay off this forum.
I see I am not the first for this to happen as well. Others have not been so luckly.
