@Matka5, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP ENVY 6000e printer is showing as "busy" when using AirPrint, even though the copier works fine. You've already tried restarting the printer and router, great first steps!
Let’s go through a few more targeted troubleshooting steps to resolve this:
Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode
Sometimes the printer needs to be reconnected to the network.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons on the printer for 5 seconds until the Power light blinks.
- This puts the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode.
- Now, use the HP Smart app on your phone or computer to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi.
Check AirPrint Status on iOS
- On your iPhone/iPad, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and ensure you're connected to the same network as the printer.
- Try printing a test page from Safari or Notes.
- If it still says “Printer is busy,” remove and re-add the printer:
- Go to Settings > Printers & Scanners (or use the HP Smart app).
- Remove the printer and re-add it using AirPrint.
Update Printer Firmware
Outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues.
- Open the HP Smart app. HP Smart
- Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Tools > Printer Updates.
- Install any available updates.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
