Hello HP Support:
Can you tell me is an online tech support service named Smart Tech Restore that says it is based in Tampa, Fla., a legimate provider of tech support for HP printers? They claim they are.
I was connected to them via a pop-up windown on HP's help page. They seemed like a scam.
Thank you.
Eric S.

If a popup I can pretty much guarantee this is not legit. Browser hijacking is becoming so common and often corrupted browsers are undetected until you happen to be on a site that triggers it.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.
