Scanning issue with ENVY 5055 and advised on printer screen to contact 123.hp

Contacted what I thought was HP support but was contacted by someone at Worldwide IT. No case number. No confirming email from HP but from Worldwide It. I believe this was a scam. Cam you confirm?
