I can see that a lot of people have had the same exact issue. My printer was up, printing and all my options in settings Were available. I was without Internet for about 3 to 4 weeks and when I went to connect my new Internet provider and set up the wireless networking I found that a lot of options for my printer were grayed out asking for me to please have my administrator make changes. I’ve never set an administrator as this is my own private home printer. I cannot reset factory or Network. Please how do I fix this??

@BACKTOJANE
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that your printer settings are grayed out, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
