HP DeskJet 2636 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I am not able to connect the HP 26436 printer wirelessly to the network, so I attached a UBS cable to my computer.   When I go to setup up the printer using Add Printer, it asks for a WPS PIN.  I have looked all over the printer and the documentation included with the printer and can no find this pin. I had previously scanned the QR code and installed HP Smart for the wireless setup.  Nothing works and I can not setup the printer through USB not can I get it on the network.  Any help would be appreciated.

@pattymac75, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that you are looking for WPS PIN.

Open the cartridge access door or look at the back of the printer, both have a label with the PIN code listed on it:

c06595937

For more info, refer to - An 'Enter WPS PIN' Message Displays During Printer Setup

I suggest you connect the printer to the network as below:

Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

You may also try this - Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
