Hi @MS4-_,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the slow printing.
If your HP DeskJet 2855e All-in-One Printer is printing slowly, there are several steps you can take to improve its print speed:
1. Check Print Quality Settings
- Adjust Print Quality:
- Go to Printers & Scanners in your computer's settings.
- Select your printer and click on Manage or Print Preferences.
- In the print settings, adjust the print quality to a lower setting (like Draft or Normal) instead of Best. This can significantly speed up printing.
2. Use Plain Paper
- Printing on plain paper can be faster than using specialty paper. If you're currently using photo or high-quality paper, try switching to standard plain paper.
3. Reduce Print Size
- If you're printing images or documents, try reducing the size or resolution. Lower-resolution images will print faster.
4. Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the HP Support website to download and install any available updates for your printer model.
5. Check for Background Tasks
- Ensure there aren’t any background tasks or large files being processed on your computer that might be slowing down the printing process.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @MS4-_,
Please find the next steps below.
6. Clear Print Queue
- If there are multiple print jobs in the queue, it can slow down printing. Go to Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and check the print queue. Cancel any unnecessary jobs.
7. Connect via USB (if using Wi-Fi)
- If you're using a wireless connection, consider connecting the printer directly to your computer via USB. This can sometimes speed up the communication between the printer and the computer.
8. Network Configuration
- Check Wi-Fi Signal:
- Ensure that your printer is within good range of your Wi-Fi router. A weak signal can slow down printing.
- Use 2.4 GHz Band:
- If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, try connecting your printer to the 2.4 GHz band, which generally has a longer range and better connectivity.
9. Printer Firmware Update
- Check for firmware updates for your printer. Go to the HP Support website to see if there are any updates available that might improve performance.
10. Print Using HP Smart App
- If you haven’t already, consider using the HP Smart app to manage your printing tasks. Sometimes, using the app can provide better performance and options.
11. Restart the Printer
- Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can clear any temporary issues and improve performance.
