@feckin52,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Printer Connection

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. If it's not connected, the printer will appear offline.
    • Print a network configuration page to confirm the connection.
    • If the network settings are incorrect, you may need to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi using the printer’s menu or HP Smart.

Set Printer as Default

  • Sometimes, the system might be trying to print to another printer. Set the LaserJet M110w as the default printer:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on your HP LaserJet M110w and select Set as Default Printer.

Clear Print Queue

  • Sometimes a stuck print job can cause the printer to show as offline.
    • Open Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on the HP LaserJet M110w and select See what's printing.
    • If there are any print jobs in the queue, right-click and select Cancel or Cancel All Documents.
    • After clearing, try printing again.

Restart Print Spooler Service

  • Restarting the print spooler on your computer can fix offline issues:
    • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
    • Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click on it, and select Restart.
    • Try printing again after the spooler restarts.

Update or Reinstall Printer Driver

  • Ensure you have the latest driver installed for your printer:
    • Visit HP's official support site and download the latest driver for your LaserJet M110w.
    • You can also uninstall the current driver, restart your computer, and reinstall the printer driver fresh from the HP website.

Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • If the Wi-Fi connection seems unstable, you can reset the printer’s network settings and set it up again:
    • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wi-Fi button
      • If the printer is in Sleep mode (the Ready light is on but dim), press the Resume/Cancel button to wake up the printer.
      • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer control panel for more than 20 seconds. When the Attention light starts blinking, release the Wireless button.
      • The printer restarts automatically. When the Wireless light starts blinking, the printer is in wireless setup mode. You can now reset up a wireless connection between the printer and your device.
    • Use HP Smart to reconfigure the printer on your network.

Check Firewall or Antivirus Settings

  • Occasionally, security software may block the communication between the printer and your computer. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus and check if that helps. If it does, add an exception for your printer.

HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • HP offers a Print and Scan Doctor tool that can diagnose and fix common printing issues:
    • Download the tool from the HP support website.
    • Run the tool and follow its prompts to diagnose and fix the problem.
