Hello,

Without a touchscreen, setting up the HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw is a case of scrolling through the various options presented on the LCD and using the cursor buttons to type in your Wi-Fi password via the numerical keypad.
Try pressing the 0 or 1 key (zero key) for a long time or several times to make the special symbols appear (e.g. &+=, or @/|).

If you are unable to display the special symbols, please install the printer on a computer using a USB cable.
Then, please follow the HP link Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection to connect the printer to a private wireless network.

Thanks for valuable information but unfortunately it cannot help me as I have a special charatcer not available from the keyboard on the printer and have no laptop Windows 10 to use the second option. The goal was to be able to print from my mobile but no worry as I will find other solutions.
