HP DeskJet 3760 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just switched broadband providers but can't find any instructions on how to join a new network. I have the HP DeskJet 3760 printer. It doesn't have the screen capabilities to follow the prompts using the touch screen and the app is super unhelpful. I've Googled/YouTubed but there's nothing out there for my particular model. HELP!!!

Hi @BeachGal72,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to connect your HP DeskJet 3760 to a new Wi-Fi network after switching broadband providers, you’ll need to reset the printer’s network settings and set it up again. Since your printer lacks a screen, the process involves using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) or the HP Smart app. Follow these steps:

Option 1: Reconnect using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

Ensure your printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode:

  • Turn on the printer and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button on the printer until the Wi-Fi light blinks. This resets the network settings and enables Wi-Fi setup mode.

Activate WPS on your router:

  • Locate the WPS button on your router and press it (usually for a few seconds). The WPS light on the router should start blinking.

Connect the printer:

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi light blinks rapidly. The printer should connect to the router automatically. The Wi-Fi light will become solid when the connection is successful.

Option 2: Use the HP Smart App

Reset the printer to Wi-Fi setup mode:

  • Hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button on the printer until the Wi-Fi light blinks.

Install or open the HP Smart app:

  • Download the HP Smart app from the HP website or the Microsoft Store.
  • Open the app and ensure your PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to join.

Add your printer:

  • In the HP Smart app, click the Add Printer option.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to detect your printer and connect it to the Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Ensure the printer is within range of the router and there are no obstacles like walls or metal objects.
  • Restart your router and printer if the connection fails.
  • Disable any VPN or firewall on your PC temporarily during setup if the app can’t detect the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
