My Tango printer has not been printing for awhile. I get the red x and jobs just continue to look like they are printing but never end up doing it.

Hi @dpolleys,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When dealing with printing issues on an HP Tango printer, here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your HP Tango printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network properly. Sometimes, connectivity issues can prevent printing.
  • Restart the printer and check if it reconnects to the Wi-Fi network correctly.

Check Printer Status:

  • Look at the printer control panel or the HP Smart app to see if there are any error messages or warnings displayed (such as low ink, paper jam, etc.). Clear any such issues if present.

Restart Printer and Devices:

  • Power off your HP Tango printer, wait for about 10-15 seconds, and then power it back on.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device that you are trying to print from.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your HP Tango printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer's embedded web server.

Check Print Queue:

  • On your computer or mobile device, check the print queue to see if there are any pending jobs. Cancel any jobs that are stuck or pending.

Reinstall Printer Driver:

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the printer driver can resolve printing issues. Remove the printer from your computer or device's list of printers, then reinstall it using the latest drivers from HP's website.

Check Ink or Toner Levels:

  • Ensure that there is enough ink or toner in the printer cartridges. Low ink levels can sometimes prevent printing.

Check Paper Tray:

  • Make sure that the paper tray of the printer is loaded with paper and that there are no jams or obstructions in the paper path.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This will vary depending on the printer model, so consult the user manual or HP's support website for instructions.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the printing issue with your HP Tango printer effectively.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
