The sender email address is rejected by the server. Make sure the sender email address is correct. I am getting this error message and we have scanned successfully using this method for over a year. All of the sudden we are getting this error message.

You are failing authentication. Either the ISP has made a change and you need to enable SMTP authentication or you can no longer use your account password for email and must use an app password.
I assume you are configuring the scanner to send the scan by email. For att, g.mail or yahoo (and likely others) you need to create an "app" password.
Google now requires app passwords even if you do not have two step authentication enabled. If you changed your google password then you need a new app password for the printer. This applies to g.mail but probably to yahoo and att.
