Hi @Ismaeel2580,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer's Wi-Fi light is solid blue but it’s not showing up when you try to add it, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the connection:
1. Check Printer Connection
- Ensure that the printer is indeed connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. Sometimes, it may connect to a different network.
2. Restart Devices
- Restart both your printer and the device you are trying to connect (computer, tablet, etc.):
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.Restart your computer or device.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
3. Use the HP Smart App
- Download and use the HP Smart app to add your printer:
- Install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.Open the app and follow the prompts to add your printer.
4. Check Wi-Fi Direct
- If your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, you can connect directly:
- Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the printer (check the manual for instructions). On your device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network. Then, try adding the printer from the application you’re using.
5. Ensure Printer is Discoverable
- Check the printer’s settings to make sure it’s set to be discoverable:
- Access the printer’s control panel and navigate to the wireless settings.
- Look for an option to enable Wireless Setup Wizard or Network Configuration.
6. Check Firewall/Security Settings
- Sometimes, firewall or security settings on your device can block printer discovery:
- Temporarily disable any firewalls or security software and try adding the printer again.
7. Update Drivers
- Ensure your printer drivers are up to date:
- Visit the HP Support website.Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers.
8. Manual IP Address Addition
- If the printer is connected but still not showing, you can try adding it via its IP address:
- Print a network configuration page from the printer to find its IP address (check the printer manual).
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer.
- Choose The printer that I want isn't listed, then select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname and enter the printer's IP address.
9. Reset Network Settings
- Go to the printer’s settings menu.Look for an option to Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
