@Kedabear, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP Photosmart C4750 does not support wireless setup without a USB cable — unfortunately, it requires a USB connection for initial Wi-Fi configuration. Here’s a breakdown of your options:

Use a Temporary USB Cable for Setup

Even if you don’t plan to use the USB cable permanently, you need one just once to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Steps:

  • Get a USB A-B printer cable (commonly used, easy to borrow or buy).
  • Download and install the HP Photosmart C4700 series driver for your OS.
  • During installation, choose Wireless Setup and follow the instructions.
  • Once connected, you can remove the USB cable and print wirelessly.

No USB Cable or CD Available?

Here are your limited alternatives:

No CD Needed – Just Download the Software:

  • HP offers the driver for free online:
  • Go to https://support.hp.com
  • Search for "Photosmart C4750"
  • Select your OS and download the Full Feature Software.

No Wi-Fi Setup Without USB:

The printer has no touchscreen or WPS button, so:

  • It cannot connect to Wi-Fi directly from the printer itself
  • You must use a USB connection for initial Wi-Fi configuration

Workaround: Connect via USB Temporarily

If you're stuck, you can:

  • Borrow a USB A-B cable (from a friend, another printer, etc.)
  • Buy one online or at a local store

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
