How do I turn off the wireless radio in my HP Envy 7640 printer? I have it connected to my network via an ethernet cable. I would like to turn off the Wireless radio as it uses up valuable specturm in my neighborhood. I have tried the tricks suggested by Google with out result while watching a wireless momitor app on my phone. The wireless is disabled but continues to put out "Direct-2E-HP ENVVY 7640" ssid. The only thing that works is powering down the printer. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi @Ka7agh,
I'd like to help!
The Direct-2E-HP ENVVY 7640 SSID the printer shows up is a wifi direct address.
HP wireless direct provides a direct wireless connection to your HP printer without joining a local network or connecting to the internet. When you activate HP wireless direct on your printer, you can securely print documents or photos from supported Wi-Fi-capable computers and mobile devices.
To turn the WIFI Direct off, follow the below steps -
1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch (Settings).
2. scroll down and touch Wi-Fi Direct and then switch it off.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
