- I have connected my printer to the wireless network and have accessed the embedded web server through my browser at DHCP IP address 192.168.1.106
- On my pc, I have set up a network folder "scans" at \\my-pc\scans and granted access only to my admin account.
- I have tested the path to the scan folder, username and password from my laptop and have no trouble accessing it or creating files there from the laptop.
- I have gone to network folder setup on the embedded web server and set up a scan folder with the same path, username and password as I just tested from my laptop and I get this error: "Unable to connect to the printer. Check your configurations and try again." this is weird because I'm on the printer's web server so obviously I can connect to the printer. I would expect the error to say something about not being able to access the network folder.
- I have added exceptions to my firewall and my antivirus application to allow traffic from my printer's IP.
- I even tried adding "everyone" permissions temporarily to the scan shared folder and am still getting the same error when testing from the network folder setup on the printer's web server. That didn't work either.

Hi,
Please ensure that SMBv1 is enabled for your computer, the printer require SMBv1 to be enabled to connect to a shared folder.
From the Control Panel select Uninstall a Program, then press on Turn Windows features on or off and check SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support among any of its sub-options, then follow the steps on screen to enable the feature and test the profile for the printer again.
Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
