I currently have a HP Photosmart 6520 e-All in-One Printer and it needs to be reconnected to my new router. I have used the setup wizard and have tried to do it manually. I have also tired to set it up using the desktop software, no luck. In these situations it stating wireless connection failed or has timed out. After running a print report it is identifying the issue underneath settings as -No Filtering as FAIL. Would you please walk me through what is needed so the Filtering is no longer an issue? In order for the wireless to work and get my device connected to my new router. Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Community --
The issue might be as simple as the frequency speed you are trying to use.
Page 31
NOTE: This printer supports connecting only at the 2.4 GHz frequency range.
Read the rest of the chapter, too.

Dual Band Network
If you are running a Dual Band Network,
If your router supports it,
Create a separate SSID named network for each frequency (5GHz and 2.4GHz).
and
Connect the printer to the SSID network on the frequency / band you want it to use.
Reminder: Some printers only support 2.4GHz
In general,
- 2.4GHz is less fussy about obstacles and supports a longer distance between router and device (printer)
- 5GHz is faster

If you can get the printer to connect to the network at all,
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to verify, update, correct the SSID network setup.
User Guide >> Page 35
EWS > HP Document / How-to
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration
As Available:
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
Network Interface on / off, Network SSID name, Security Settings, Passphrase / Password
In Advanced
Select and connect to the correct SSID / network name for the bandwidth you are using.
Example - EWS - Network iPv4 Configuration - SSID named network
EWS_9025_Network_IPv4_Configuration_3

HP - Wireless Center > Section: Common Questions > Topic Printer no longer works on network
On the router:
Depending on the router and the network configuration you are using,
Consider adding the printer's hardware MAC address to the router as an allowed connection.
In general, this setup is optional -- offered FYI only.
What about Wi-Fi Direct?
In general, if you are not using it, Wi-Fi Direct -- connecting the printer to the computer without a network -- can (and perhaps should) be toggled OFF on the printer.

What about the Printer Software?
If you switched routers and the Full Feature Software is still installed on the printer, the software might be stuck on the idea of connecting to the "old setup". Even if you manage to get the printer connected to the network, the printer software might balk, throw various errors, or wander off into "Add Device" when you try to open the software.
==============================
Remove / Install the full driver printer software
Printer - Full Feature Software - Install
If you have not done so, consider
- HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts. The full driver adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant and HP Scan. If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver. No Sign-in required.
If the full driver printer software is (already) installed but not working,
- Uninstall any printer software from Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
- Restart the computer and sign in.
Next,
- Check (for the Printer) in Devices and Printers > If found, Right-Click Printer and Remove -- If any changes are made, that is, you remove anything, Restart the computer and sign in.
Next,
- If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, disconnect the cable before installing the printer software.
- Download and Save the Full Feature Software installation package or the Easy Start Software
