Hi, I bought a new HP Color LaserJer Pro MFP 3302fdw. I creted an HP account and downloaded HP smart app. Unortunately, I can't see an option to turn printing from anywhere. Is this a paid service?

Hi @DariusD

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3302fdw does not appear to support the Print Anywhere feature by default. Print Anywhere is typically available for HP+ printers and select non-HP+ models.

Is there any way to turn this function on my HP printer on?

@DariusD

Yes! You can enable the Print Anywhere function on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3302fdw using the HP Smart app

Here’s how:

Steps to Enable Print Anywhere

Ensure Your Printer is Set Up in HP Smart

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Make sure your printer is added and connected.

Sign In to Your HP Account

  • Click on your Account icon in HP Smart.
  • Sign in if prompted.

Enable Print Anywhere

  • Go to Account Dashboard → Solutions → Print Anywhere.
  • Under My Printers, toggle Allow printing from anywhere to ON.

Check Web Services

  • On your printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup → Web Services.
  • Ensure Web Services are enabled.

Test Remote Printing

  • Open HP Smart and select Print Documents or Print Photos.
  • Choose a file and send a print job remotely.

Let me know if you need further guidance! Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hi,

I managed to get this function available by changing the name of the printer on my account. Most likely some lithuanian letters were not acceptable (just guessing).

One more question to ask. Is it possible to scan from anywhere as well or is this function available only for printing? I am able to scan using HP smart app when connected to the same wifi. If I change wifi or use mobile data it shows that the printer doesn't support this function.

Kind Regards,

Darius

@DariusD, I see you were interacting with @Hawks_Eye however, he's away for now and I'd love to help you out

Thanks for the update and for checking all those steps—really appreciate your effort!

You're right to be confused here. While the HP Smart app usually offers the Print Anywhere feature, unfortunately, your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3302fdw doesn’t support it natively. This feature is generally limited to HP+ models and a few select printers.

That’s why you’re not seeing the Web Services option or the toggle in your HP Smart dashboard. I know it’s a bit disappointing, especially when everything else seems set up correctly.

If remote printing is essential, one possible workaround is using Google Cloud Print alternatives or remote desktop apps, though they’re not officially supported by HP.

Did we resolve the issue? If yes, Please consider marking this post as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" to give us a helpful vote - your feedback keeps us going!
