Hi, is there a way to see where and when a photo was sent to my printer? I had a photo print overnight that I don’t have in my photo album and I’m curious to find out how it got there. I live alone and I never shared my hp email for printing.
thanks

@Den5624, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how concerning it can be to find an unexpected photo printed, especially when you live alone and haven’t shared your printer’s email address.
Here are a few steps you can take to investigate:
Check the Printer’s Job History
Some HP printers keep a log of recent print jobs:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings or Reports.
- Look for Print History, Job History, or Usage Reports.
- This may show the time and type of document printed.
Note: Not all models store detailed history, and this log may be cleared after a restart or power cycle.
Check HP Smart App
If you use the HP Smart app:
- Open the app on your phone or PC.
- Go to Print History (under your printer’s name).
- This may show documents printed via the app or HP cloud services.
Review HP ePrint Settings
If your printer has HP ePrint enabled:
- Log in to your HP Smart account at HP Smart.
- Go to My Printers > Select your printer > ePrint Settings.
- Check if ePrint is enabled and whether the printer’s email address has been shared or compromised.
You can also disable ePrint or change the printer’s email address to prevent unauthorized access.
Check Connected Devices
If your printer is on Wi-Fi:
- Log into your router’s admin page to see connected devices.
- Look for unfamiliar devices that may have accessed your network and printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
