Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding updating Wi-Fi on your printer!  

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Try these steps:

 

Using HP Smart App

  1. Download & Open HP Smart on your phone or computer.
    • If you don’t have it, download it from the HP website.
  2. Reset the printer’s network settings:
    • On the printer, press and hold the WiFi and Cancel (X) buttons for 5 seconds until the power light blinks.
  3. Reconnect to new WiFi:
    • Open HP Smart → Click Add Printer.
    • Follow the setup instructions to connect the printer to your new WiFi network.

 

Using WPS (If Router Supports It)

  1. Press and hold the WiFi button on the printer for 5 seconds until it blinks.
  2. Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes.
  3. The printer should connect automatically.

 

Manual Setup (Using Printer’s Control Panel)

  1. Reset Network Settings:
    • Press and hold the WiFi and Cancel (X) buttons for 5 seconds.
  2. Use HP Smart on a phone or PC:
    • Connect your phone/PC to the printer’s temporary WiFi (HP-Setup-XYZ).
    • Open HP Smart → Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new WiFi.

 

Print a Test Page

Once connected, try printing a Wireless Network Test Report:

  • Press and hold the Information (i) button for 3 seconds.
  • The printer should print a page confirming its new WiFi connection.
