HP LaserJet Pro M15w Printer

I needed to change my Wi-Fi network SSID and now I can't connect my printer (HP Laserjet Pro M15w) to the newly named Wi-Fi. Printer configuration report says the printer is still connected to the old SSID. According to the manual  I'd need to return my printer to factory settings first by going to https://10.10.xx.xxx, and the config report should give me the right digits to replace xx.xxx on the address line. But my config report doesn't clearly show that. Any advice? Or any other way to manage SSID name change?

Hi @JKU72

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that your HP Printer is not connecting to the new wi-fi network.

Please follow the steps listed below to connect using USB cable and then change it to wireless.

Step 1: Connect using USB cable:

Please follow the steps in this document to connect the printer using the USB cable.

Step 2: Change from a USB connection to wireless:

Before changing from a USB connection to wireless, make sure that:

- The printer is connected to your computer with the USB cable until you are prompted to disconnect the cable.

- The computer is connected to the wireless network that you intend to install the printer on.

1. Open the HP printer software (From the computer desktop, click Start, select All apps, click HP, and then select the icon

with the printer’s name).

2. In the printer software, click Tools.

3. Click Device Setup & Software.

4. Select Convert a USB connected printer to wireless. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Please follow the steps in this document to change from a USB connection to a wireless network.

Let me know if this works.

Take care and have a good day.
