Hi @ssrcham,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access the Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as your printer.
  • Enter the printer’s IP address in the browser’s address bar to open the printer’s embedded web server (EWS).

Log into the EWS:

  • If prompted, log in using admin credentials. By default, some printers may not require a login, but if any security settings have been applied, you may need the administrator password.

Locate Network Settings:

  • Navigate to the network settings section. This might be named differently depending on the firmware version, but look for sections related to networking or advanced settings.

Enable WINS:

  • In the network settings, find the option for WINS and enable it. There should be a toggle or a section where you can configure WINS settings.

Save Changes:

  • After enabling WINS, ensure you save changes to apply the settings.

Restart the Printer:

  • It may be necessary to restart the printer to ensure the changes take effect.

If you encounter any difficulties, consult the printer’s user manual or HP support for precise guidance on finding the WINS settings for your specific model.

I hope this helps.
