Hi @Deshea,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you no longer have the WPS PIN that came with your HP DeskJet Plus 4100 series printer, you can locate the current WPS PIN by enabling it directly on the printer. Follow these steps.

Find the WPS PIN on the Printer

  1. Turn on the printer and ensure it is in a ready state.
  2. Press and hold the Information button (i) on the printer until all control panel buttons light up.
  3. Tap the Information button (i) and the Wireless button simultaneously.
  4. A Network Configuration Report or Wireless Network Test Report will print. The WPS PIN will be displayed in this report.

Connect via HP Smart App

If you're unable to use the WPS PIN, you can reconnect the printer to WiFi using the HP Smart app:

  1. Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone.
    • Windows
    • Mac
    • Android/iOS: Available on the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and click Add Printer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer on your new WiFi network. During this process, the app will guide you to enable setup mode on the printer if needed.

Enable Wi-Fi Setup Mode Manually

If the printer isn't in setup mode:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer simultaneously for 5 seconds until the Wireless light blinks.
  2. The printer will enter Wi-Fi setup mode, allowing it to be detected by the HP Smart app or your computer.

Use WPS Push Button (If Supported by Router)

  1. Press the Wireless button on your printer for 3 seconds until the light blinks.
  2. On your WiFi router, press and hold the WPS button for 2-3 seconds (or as per the router's instructions).
  3. The printer will connect to the WiFi automatically.

Once connected, you can add the printer to your computer:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer (Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (Mac).
  2. Select your printer from the list and complete the setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
