What do I do about "NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" when going to the printer's EWS?

Microsoft Edge says:

  • This website doesn't have a valid certificate. The information sent to and from it is not secure and can be intercepted by an attacker or seen by others. There's a risk to your personal data when sending or receiving information from this site.

  • If possible, contact the website owner to request that their site protect its data with a secure connection.

 

Firefox says:

  • This website does not supply ownership information.

Same thing from another device (smart phone).

 

BUT, it seems the printer has a self-signed certificate which WILL cause this problem. A helpful answer would tell me how to get a better certificate.

Let's reset the network settings on the Printer:

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch and slide your finger across the screen, touch Setup, and then touch Network Setup. 2. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then touch Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored. 3. Touch OK. 4. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset

 

Once done, connect it to the Wi-Fi and check if the same happens.
