Officejet 8600 all in one N911g
Microsoft Windows 11

Printer presently  works via ethernet and wifi with multiple home desktops all running Windows 10.  Printer is not listed  on the Windows 11 compatibility list.  I prefer not to buy a new printer.  If  one or more desktops are upgraded to Windows 11 will the printer stop functioning (as a printer or scanner) for those  desktops with Win 11 or  stop functioning all together?

Welcome to the HP Community.

True >> The printer is not supported in Windows 11.

When you change the version of the Operating System to Windows 11, the printer is not supported on that computer.

Might work a bit with the Built-in Windows Drivers, for example - but the Full Feature Software for the printer is not supported and might not work.

Changing the version of the Operating System to Windows 11 on one or more computers should not normally impact whether the printer continues to work with the remaining Windows 10 computer(s).

Sure - whether you replace the printer is up to you.
