For HP Deskjet 2540

Print a Network Configuration Page:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and the Start Copy Black button simultaneously. This will print a Network Configuration Page.

Locate the IP Address:

  • Find the IP address on the Network Configuration Page which is listed under the “IPv4” section.

For Your Desktop Computer

Windows:

  • Open the Command Prompt (You can do this by typing "cmd" in the search bar and hitting Enter).
  • Type ipconfig and press Enter.
  • Look for the “IPv4 Address” under your active network connection.

Mac:

  • Open System Preferences.
  • Click on Network.
  • Select your active network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
  • Your IP address will be listed under “Status”.
