For HP Deskjet 2540
Print a Network Configuration Page:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and the Start Copy Black button simultaneously. This will print a Network Configuration Page.
Locate the IP Address:
- Find the IP address on the Network Configuration Page which is listed under the “IPv4” section.
For Your Desktop Computer
Windows:
- Open the Command Prompt (You can do this by typing "cmd" in the search bar and hitting Enter).
- Type ipconfig and press Enter.
- Look for the “IPv4 Address” under your active network connection.
Mac:
- Open System Preferences.
- Click on Network.
- Select your active network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
- Your IP address will be listed under “Status”.
