@taylor4887, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding WPS pin!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
To retrieve the WPS PIN for your HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer and troubleshoot issues with the gateway address, follow these steps:
Access Printer Control Panel:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button.
- Using the buttons on the right, scroll to and select Wireless Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
Select PIN Method:
- When prompted, select PIN Method.
- The WPS PIN will appear on the printer display.
Resolving Gateway Address Issues:
Verify Network Configuration:
- Ensure the printer is connected to the correct network. You can do this from the Network and Dial-up Connections in Windows settings.
Reset Network Settings:
- If you have issues accessing the gateway, resetting network settings might help.
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button, then scroll to Wireless Settings.
- Select Restore Default, then Yes to restore network settings to default.
Reconfigure Wireless Setup:
- Use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your wireless router to establish a connection.
- On the printer control panel, go to Wireless Settings and select Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to reconnect the printer to the network using the Push Button Method or the PIN Method.
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
