Hi @bobcadd3678,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the WPA2 password is actually the Wi-Fi password of the network, not something specific to the printer. Here’s how you can find or reset this password.
Check Your Router: The WPA2 password is usually on a label on the back or bottom of your router. It may be called "Wi-Fi Password," "WPA2 Key," or "Network Key."
Access Your Router’s Settings:
- Log in to your router’s settings by typing the IP address into a browser (often something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Find the "Wireless" or "Wi-Fi" settings, where your current WPA2 password should be visible.
Change the Wi-Fi Password: If you can’t find the password or want to reset it, you can create a new WPA2 password in your router’s settings. Be sure to reconnect all your devices, including your HP printer, with the new password.
HP Smart App: If you’re using the HP Smart app, you can go through the Wi-Fi setup again to reconnect your printer to the network by entering the WPA2 password when prompted.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
