Hi @donnak8,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To enter the Wi-Fi password for a wireless HP printer, you generally need to follow these steps.
- Make sure your HP printer is turned on and connected to a power source.
- Locate the printer's control panel or display screen. This panel may vary depending on the model of your HP printer.
- On the control panel, look for a button or icon that represents settings or setup. It may be labeled as "Setup," "Settings," or have a wrench/spanner symbol.
- Press the settings or setup button to access the printer's menu options.
- Use the arrow keys or navigation buttons on the control panel to navigate through the menu options and find the "Network" or "Wireless" settings. Select the appropriate option and press "OK" or "Enter."
- Within the wireless settings menu, you should find an option to set up or connect to a Wi-Fi network. Select this option and press "OK" or "Enter."
- The printer will then search for available Wi-Fi networks in range. Once the list of networks appears on the printer's display, select your network from the list.
- If your Wi-Fi network is secured with a password, the printer will prompt you to enter the password. Use the alphanumeric keypad on the printer's control panel to enter the password. Use the arrow keys to navigate between characters and press "OK" or "Enter" after entering each character.
- After entering the Wi-Fi password, verify that the password is correct and then press "OK" or "Enter" to confirm.
- The printer will attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi network using the provided password. If the password is correct and the connection is successful, the printer will display a message indicating a successful connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
