Why do I need to connect to the HP account to use the printer and scanner for Android app?!??!?!?!

Not only that, but when trying to connect to the account, I always get the message that "an error occured, try again later", without saying what the hell is wrong.

I just want to simply scan a document and save it on my device, why is it mandatory to connect to an account that I cannot even connect because HP servers are screwed?!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
