HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer has worked beautifully for over a year then out of nowhere, all of the wireless options disappeared, as though it never had wireless capability at all. The icon is gone from the touch screen and when I go to settings, it gives an alert about Ethernet not being connected (nothing has ever been connected). There are no options to set up a wireless network and it shows offline on my laptop and hpsmart app. I’ve tried restarting/unplugging the printer and router and doing the factory default settings; essentially everything I’ve seen online to do.

Hi@Jamiloo22,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing wireless issues with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-In-One Printer.

I have a few recommendations

  • On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

When an ethernet cable is connected, the wireless feature is disabled. Disconnect the Ethernet cable.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Scroll down to Printer Maintenance.

3. Scroll to Restore.

4. Restore Settings (I ran Restore Factory Settings prior to Restore Settings - it didn't do anything by itself, but if my steps don't work, try Factory before Restore Settings)

Let it do it's thing.  When it restarted, I had a blinking blue Wi-Fi light and the wireless icon was back.  Follow the prompts, finish set up in HP Smart.

If issue still persist then perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
