Hello @Anila3, and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

If your HP laptop is not showing the Wi-Fi option and you're unable to run the troubleshooter or connect to mobile devices, here are some steps to help you resolve the issue:

Check if Wi-Fi Adapter is Enabled

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters.
  • Look for a wireless adapter (e.g., Intel Wireless, Realtek Wi-Fi, etc.).
    • If it's missing, skip to Step 3.
    • If it's present but disabled, right-click and choose Enable.

Run Network Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.

Check BIOS Settings

Sometimes the wireless adapter is disabled in BIOS.

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
  • Look for Advanced > Built-in Device Options and ensure Wireless LAN is enabled.
  • Save and exit.

Reinstall Wi-Fi Drivers

  • Visit HP official support site: Official HP® Support
  • Enter your laptop model and download the latest Wireless LAN driver.
  • Install and restart your laptop.

Use HP Support Assistant

Check Windows Services

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Ensure the following services are Running and Automatic:
    • WLAN AutoConfig
    • Network Connections

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
