Bought a new Leovo laptop.  Wireless to my Officejet Pro 8025e.  It will print off the screen but will not scan.  Says not connected.

I understand your new Lenovo laptop is able to print but not scan wirelessly from your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e; it might be due to network or driver issues. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the scanning issue:
 

Ensure Printer and Network Compatibility:
 

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same wireless network as your laptop.
  • Confirm that the wireless signal on the printer is stable and strong (the wireless light on the printer should be solid blue).

Update Printer Drivers and Software:
 

  • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your printer model (OfficeJet Pro 8025e) and download the latest drivers and software for your operating system.
  • Ensure that you have the full feature software installed, as it includes all necessary drivers for scanning.

Firewall Settings:
 

  • Sometimes, firewall settings may prevent the scanner from working correctly.
  • You can temporarily disable the firewall and attempt to scan. Remember to enable it again after testing.
  • Consider configuring your firewall to allow HP software through its settings.

Check Network Connectivity:
 

  • Verify that both your laptop and printer are on the same network.
  • Restart your router, printer, and laptop to refresh the network connection.

Scanner Software:
 

  • Ensure you are using the correct scanner software on your laptop. The HP Smart app is commonly used, which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

Tried all that and more.  I am taking it to Staples this week.  Software won't recognize my printer and it is only  3 or 4 years old.  Staples said they can fix it.  Thanks for the help.
