Hi --
I had the same problem as described in the topic listed below, i.e., that the printer stopped talking to the wifi, and there was no longer any "wifi setup" command in the menus on the touchpad. I used the directions from "Jim_Wifi" in the last message in that thread, and found that "wireless infrastructure" had been turned off. Turning it back on made it work again.
But: It cost me a lot of time to find and fix this. Why was it turned off? Neither of the two humans in my house did this manually. So what would have caused it to turn off?

Following the instructions made it work -- it connected to the wifi and I could print a test document. But that was yesterday. Today it has reverted back to the same broken state: not connected/connecting to the wifi, and not showing the "wifi setup" command on the touch screen. What might be causing this?
PS. And the same fix worked:
0. Turn printer off
1. Connect via USB to Mac (or presumably PC) (using ancient USB Type B connector on the printer side!)
2. Start HP Smart.
3. Turn printer on. Wait while HP Smart finds the printer.
4. Click on the printer
5. Click on "advanced settings", it takes you to a browser.
6. Turn on all the wifi options, click "Apply"
7. Back on the printer, go to settings and turn wifi on.
8. Disconnect USB
