I unplugged my printer a couple months ago and since then I got new Wi-Fi and I am unable to connect to the printer. The blue Wi-Fi button just keeps flashing. I have an HP envy 6000 series

Hi @Natalie111 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing WiFi connection issues with your HP Envy 6000 series printer after changing your WiFi network, you can try the following steps to resolve the problem:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug the power cord back in.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the WiFi button stops flashing.

Reset the Wireless Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button or open the Wireless menu.
  • Find and select the "Settings" or "Wireless Settings" option.
  • Look for an option that says "Restore Network Defaults" or "Restore Wireless Defaults" and select it.
  • Confirm the action and wait for the printer to reset its network settings.

Reconfigure WiFi Settings:

  • After resetting the network settings, you may need to reconnect the printer to your new WiFi network.
  • Use the printer's control panel to navigate to the Wireless menu and choose the "Setup" or "Network Setup" option.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your new WiFi network name (SSID) and password.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your HP Envy 6000 series printer. Firmware updates often include improvements and bug fixes.
  • Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download and install the latest firmware if available.

Check WiFi Signal Strength:

  • Ensure that your printer is within the range of your WiFi network. If the signal is weak, consider moving the printer closer to the router.
  • Check if other devices can connect to the WiFi network without any issues.

Verify WiFi Settings on Router:

  • Double-check that your new WiFi network is functioning correctly.
  • Ensure that the router is broadcasting on the 2.4GHz frequency, as some HP printers may not support 5GHz.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
