Hello. I recently moved home and I can’t get my HP Desk Jet 2600 all in one series printer to connect to the internet in my new home and therefore I can’t print. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Dale241

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Not to worry; I'll do my best to reconnect the printer to your wireless network.

Let us try to restore the printer to the default network settings and then use the HP Smart App from your mobile device to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 1:

Restore network default settings on the printer; to do that, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons until the Power button flashes, and then wait for the Wireless light to flash.

Step 2:

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your mobile device.

Place the printer and the mobile device near the Wi-Fi router.

Turn on Wi-Fi on your mobile device and connect to your network.

Enable Bluetooth on the mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

After installing HP Smart for iOS and Android, enable the mobile device location service and allow the app to use your location to detect the printer and offer solutions during setup.

In HP Smart, click Add Printer or the plus sign to search for the printer, and then follow the instructions to complete the setup.

Also make sure you are trying to connect to the 2.4GHz network, because your printer model does not support the 5GHz network.

If you are not sure of this, please check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

If the Printer Still Won’t Connect

  • Move the printer closer to the router during setup.
  • Restart your router and try again.
  • Avoid guest or restricted networks, which may block printer communication.

Let me know if you'd like help with any of these steps or if the printer shows any specific error lights.

You’re doing everything right—let’s get it printing again.
