Hi @Julesreevo
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand that your HP DeskJet 2700e was working correctly over Wi-Fi, but the blue wireless light has suddenly started flashing. I appreciate the troubleshooting you have already completed.
Kindly confirm the below details ;
- Are you using the HP app on a computer or mobile device?
- Does the HP app detect the printer?
- Was the Wi-Fi name, password, router, or internet provider changed recently?
- Are there any other lights or error icons showing?
Kindly try the following steps and confirm :
- Turn off the printer and router, and disconnect their power cables for approximately 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the router first, allow it to start fully, and then turn on the printer.
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer for about three seconds.
- Open the HP app, select Add Printer, and complete the wireless setup.
- Ensure your device is connected to the main home Wi-Fi network, with Bluetooth and location permissions enabled during setup.
- If available, try setting up the printer from another computer or mobile device.
You may also refer to the official HP DeskJet 2700 and 2700e wireless setup guide for detailed instructions.
The flashing blue light indicates that the printer’s wireless function is active, but the printer has not yet connected to the router. After a successful connection, the blue wireless light should remain solid.
I hope this helps.

Hi @Julesreevo,
Thank you for confirming that the printer is detected on your iPhone and iPad, but still will not connect to your Wi-Fi network. Since the Wi-Fi settings and router have not changed, and the blue wireless light continues to flash, the printer's wireless connection settings may need to be reset and configured again.
Kindly try these steps and confirm :
- Make sure the printer is powered on.
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for about 5 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking rapidly.
- Open the HP app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to your wireless network.
- During setup, ensure your mobile device is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network that you want the printer to use.
- If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, temporarily connect your mobile device to the 2.4 GHz network and try the setup again.
If the printer still cannot connect after completing these steps, try connecting it to a different Wi‑Fi network, such as a mobile hotspot, to determine whether the issue is related to the printer or the home router.
