Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

My printer will not connect to newer WiFi access points from Aruba and Ubiquiti. It connects fine to two older b/g/n/ac access points from both Buffalo and Asus. I see this problem reported by other users, but there is zero explanation or resolution from HP other than having separate SSIDs for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz access points. Troubleshooting I've already performed:

1. Separated 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz SSIDs to different names. The printer will not connect to the 2.4Ghz-only SSIDs.

2. Updated printer firmware to the latest (released in 2019).

3. Disabled IPV6 in the printer wireless network settings.

4. Both manual and DHCP IP assignment fail.

5. Verified there is no Bonjour service filtering on my local network (product works with other older access points)

6. Reset the printer to factory defaults and reconfigured.

Is there second level support or network protocol analysis tools that can elucidate what the actual problem is? I'm NOT interested in any more "did you try this" type of support. I want concrete analysis and a deterministic path to UNDERSTANDING why this is happening at this point. I even tried to buy paid HP support, but the website says "this service is not available at this time" - uhh, what? Can HP refund the $300+ in toner I just bought for this thing if no one can support it?
