Hello, I am seeking assistance. I have purchased HP's online technical support and need to understand how to use it.
I have moved from Spain to Nuremberg and am having difficulty connecting my printer to my computer. Could someone please assist me? Thank you.

Hi @ElisabetSantana,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching HP Support. I'm here to help with your HP ENVY 6030e All-in-One Printer and your recent move from Spain to Germany.
Moving between countries (even within Europe) can sometimes cause connection or ink compatibility issues, especially if:
- You are using ink cartridges from a different region (e.g., purchased in Spain but used in Germany)
- You’ve changed your network setup, and the printer has not yet been reconfigured
Step 1: Connecting the Printer to a New Wi-Fi Network (in Germany)
Let’s first reconnect the printer to your local Wi-Fi:
📶 Use the HP Smart App:
- Download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store:
🔗 HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store - Open the app and click “Set up a new printer”
- If the printer is not detected:
- Reset network settings on the printer:
- Press and hold the Wireless button (or Wi-Fi + Cancel) for 5 seconds
- This will enter Wi-Fi Setup Mode
- Reset network settings on the printer:
- Try setting up again via HP Smart and follow the on-screen instructions
Step 2: Ink Cartridge Region Compatibility
Since you moved from Spain to Germany, it’s important to note:
✅ Both Spain and Germany use the same ink cartridge region (Europe region).
So, cartridges purchased in Spain should still work in Germany — you do not need new cartridges or a region reset in most cases.
✔️ If you still have the original cartridges (from Spain):
- Try inserting them again — they should work without issue.
🆕 If you're using a new ink cartridge purchased in Germany:
- It should also be compatible.
- If the printer displays an error like “Incompatible Ink”, please let us know — we may need to perform a regional reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
